NewTek reduces price of their TalkShow VS-100 Skype receiver to $2,995.00 and announces the TalkShow VS-4000 four-channel system at $7,995.00.
June 1st, 2016: NewTek has temporarily lowered the price of their TalkShow VS-100 Skype receiver from $3,995.00 to $2,995.00. The TalkShow VS-100 allows you to reach Skype users and pull them into your TriCaster or other SDI-equipped video switcher or send the output of the TriCaster as a Skype call. The VS-100 brings in one Skype caller at a time. . . the recently announced TalkShow VS-4000 brings in four Skype callers at the same time.
With either TalkShow model, what this really means is you can pull in a live video with audio feed from any Skype-enabled device located anywhere in the world and bring its signal into your TriCaster. This includes cell phones, tablets and laptops, etc. Because the TalkShow has SDI input and output you can use it with a non-NewTek video switcher. But if you use it with a TriCaster, you can send the TriCaster's program output through the TalkShow. Anyone who can receive a Skype call can now receive the live-switched output from a TriCaster connected to a TalkShow. If you want to have an interactive TV show with someone somewhere else, you can now do it, and do it well. The TalkShow will clean-up the video and audio from the Skye caller . . . and do a mix-minus so that the caller doesn't hear themselves and you have feedback.
The turnkey TalkShow system builds upon monitoring and managing video calls, with a unique set of live production tools not found in other video calling systems. With TalkShow, users have access to customizable settings for fully color correcting live
video calls (including features for automatic color balancing) as well as SDI-embedded audio, and compressor/limiter, equalization, and adjustable head-room controls for further improving audio quality.
